Maribor European Best Green Capital 2025

Welcome to the European Best Green Capital 2025! We have been part of Maribor's sustainable tourism scheme from the beginning and here are our commitments to sustainability and heritage preservation: we handle waste carefully and separate it, we use certified and environmentally and health-friendly cleaners, we do not change bed linen and towels every day when guests stay for several days, we do not use hotel cosmetics, we encourage drinking tap water, we regulate excessive heating and cooling, we are proud of our short supply chain, we train young staff in practice, we introduce guests to family heritage.

Since the traffic has moved away from Lent, our guests can sleep with the windows open, or enjoy themselves on our terrace and during the weekend in our bar, which has a wonderful view of the river and its fauna. Green is everywhere around us: the Drava River and its banks, our well-kept terrace, and the two-hundred-year-old oak tree behind the house. Maribor and its surroundings, including Piramida, Kalvarija, Pohorje, and Kozjak, are all green.
