The House of Stories and Views
Fani&Rozi stands out with its unique location on the Drava promenade in the heart of medieval Maribor. Our guests have exceptional views of the wide river and its bridges, the Renaissance fortification Judgement Tower, the Minorite monastery and the giant oak, which is the oldest tree in the city centre.
Fani&Rozi is also a family story that is full of the sediments of time. Our family has lived between the river Drava and the Judgement Tower for four generations, actually since 1925. Great-grandmother Fani was known as a "rafting mother" before the Second World War. Great-grandmother had a grocery store next to the Judgement Tower, where the Drava raftsmen could stock up for their long voyage to the river Danube. Grandma Rozi, who had a big heart, always loved to treat every guest with her excellent home cooking, so we want to copy her hospitality. The well-known Slovenian poet Andrej Brvar, whose work was marked by the river Drava and Lent, also grew up in the house.
Therefore, Fani&Rozi is the House of Stories and Views for a good reason.

Cafe Fani and Rozi is now open at weekends
Every Friday, Saturday and Sunday
Our café Fani&Rozi is now open every weekend (including Friday) on the newly renovated Drava promenade. The elevated sun terrace is inviting and offers an even more beautiful view of the Drava river than before. Enjoy the new image of Maribor, which you can feel from here, with good Kušter wine, beer, Barcaffe and other seasonal drinks. We are here for you every Friday, Saturday and Sunday. A warm welcome!
Received a high Traveller Review Award 2024
We are really happy and satisfied with Booking's latest Traveller Review Award, which confirms that our form is not slipping and that our excellence continues. We are particularly proud of the fact that we have maintained our excellent quality despite the construction site in front of the house, which paralyzed us for a good year and a half with dust, noise and difficult access roads. Now the promenade has been restored, the traffic has disappeared and we are relieved. Lent is beautiful again, the promenade and the river Drava look fantastic.

New room: Double Room with River View Berta
At the end of March 2023, due to increased demand, we opened the new double room Berta, which is therefore the youngest of our rooms. It is located on the ground floor of our building and offers a view of the Drava river. Spacious and sunny, it is suitable for couples.

For the third year, we can point to a dedicated and cordial work. According to our guests, we have earned this very high rating for more than 2.000 bed and breakfasts in 2022, of course there is much more behind the scenes... We are happy to keep up our form and expand. Starting in May 2023, we will open for you another beautiful room with a special family story.

For the second year we were successful with all our services to guests from all over the world who enjoyed our bed and breakfast accommodation. Despite difficult conditions, we hosted over 1200 guests in 2021, which is a lot for a small but nice boutique B&B on the riverbank of Maribor.

In Fani&Rozi we are sustainably oriented, so cyclists of all kinds are welcome. Long-distance cyclists who come along the Drava cycling route are invited to stop pedalling here.
